John Cowen Dies in 2-Car Accident on Farm-to-Market Road 1670 [Belton, TX]

BELTON, TX (July 8, 2024) – John Cowen died Thursday night in a 2-car accident on Farm-to-Market Road 1670 and Auction Barn Road. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m., on June 13th. Investigators say Cowen was traveling west on Auction Barn Road and attempted to turn onto Farm-to-Market Road 1670. During the turn, Cowen failed to yield the right-of-way to an oncoming vehicle, leading to a collision at the intersection.
