SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A new bill went into effect on Monday, July 1, adding the Ten Commandments along with the Magna Carta to a list of approved historical documents and principals allowed to be studied in public schools. H.B. 269, otherwise known as the “Public School History Curricula Amendments,” passed earlier this year with overwhelming majority votes in both the state’s House and Senate. Gov.
