Storm Track 3 Forecast: Heat retreats midweek, rain chances linger

Leftover showers across southern Kansas will keep clouds in play which could impact afternoon temperatures farther south by a few degrees. Regardless, it will be a hot and humid day with a Heat Advisory remaining in effect through early Tuesday evening. Heat indices from 105-110 degrees will be common for many towns. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible ahead of a cold front this evening. There will be a much higher concentration of organized storms tracking south-southeast out of Nebraska and Iowa.
