13-hour Las Vegas kitten rescue in 108-degree heat

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Las Vegas family spent 13 hours in 108-degree heat to rescue tiny kittens and their mother from a storm drain. FOX5 caught the strangers in action as they tried for hours to save each kitten. The ordeal happened off Lone Mountain Road west of the 215 Beltway. Dana Hernandez said her daughter and husband went for an early morning walk around 7:30 a.m. and heard crying in the storm drain. “They saw the mama cat jump into the sewer. That caught my four-year-old’s attention....
