Woman awarded $13M for fall on 'notoriously dangerous' Queen Anne sidewalk

A King County jury ruled Thursday that the City of Seattle, and an apartment owner must pay a woman $13.1 million in damages after a fall. On July 8, 2021, 53-year-old Lesley Mettler Auld, an ultra-distance athlete was walking west on Dravus Street in the Queen Anne neighborhood. She fell on a section of the sidewalk known for being covered in water and algae.
