Southwest Sounds event to celebrate Venezuelan culture on Saturday in Detroit

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is celebrating southwest Detroit and the many Latin cultures that come together to create the neighborhood affectionately called Mexicantown. On Saturday, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) and Mexicantown Community Development Corp. (MexicantownCDC) will join forces to present Southwest Sounds, a free event highlighting the arts and culture of Venezuela. The festivities will take place from 5-7 p.m. at MexicantownCDC’s mercado, 2835 Bagley St., Detroit.
