Former State Senator Audrey Gibson resigns from role with city

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former State Senator Audrey Gibson resigned from her role with the city of Jacksonville as the head of the Grants and Compliance division. Mayor Donna Deegan appointed Gibson, who also ran against her for mayor, to the position. The mayor’s office shared this statement about her resignation: “We are grateful for Audrey’s contributions to our administration during a productive and history-making first year, as well as her decades-long career serving the people of Jacksonville.
