A divided Indiana Supreme Court has reinstated an Indiana Court of Appeals ruling that authorized a police officer to explicitly drag out a traffic stop until another officer with a drug-sniffing dog was able to arrive at the scene. In a 3-2 decision, the state's highest court rescinded its order granting transfer in Canonge v.
