Seattle business owner calls for randomized emphasis patrols to help curb break-ins

A Seattle business owner who just suffered the latest in what has been a string of costly break-ins is calling on city leaders to change the way police patrol his neighborhood. John Shepherd, who owns Red Mill Burgers along with his brother Michael, said his restaurant has been burglarized nine times in the past three years, most recently on Thursday. Shepherd said the break-ins always occur at night when the restaurant in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood is closed. He and other business owners said they almost never see Seattle police...
