2 FEMA centers open in Dallas County for those seeking aid after damaging May storms

Following the destructive storms across North Texas last month, two centers are opening in Dallas County for residents seeking financial aid. The disaster recovery centers, opened by FEMA, will offer in-person assistance to homeowners and renters impacted by the storms, high winds and power outages, according to a news release from county officials. The severe storms brought hail and lighting, downed trees, damaged property and at one point left more than half a million Oncor customers without power. The deadline for residents to apply for FEMA assistance is July 16....
