Auburn woman sentenced in Jan. 6 Capitol riot, expresses regret for her actions

WASHINGTON — A judge imposed one year of probation Thursday on an Auburn woman who admitted to two federal misdemeanors stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol building. Kimberly Sylvester, 59, appeared in U.S. District Court by videoconference where a judge sentenced her to two, one-year terms of probation to be served at the same time.
