Hawk tangled in soccer net rescued in Woodbridge

Woodbridge police are praising an animal control officer who rescued a red shouldered hawk that got tangled in a soccer net Tuesday. The bird was about 15 feet in the air when it got caught. Animal Control Officer Jessica Moffa was able to cut it out. The hawk was brought to A Place Called Hope in Killingworth where it was treated for dehydration and minor injuries.
