Gun-related child homicides have doubled from 2018 to 2022

For the second time in a week, families across the Triangle are dealing with a child being shot. WRAL News discovered child homicides from gunfire have doubled from 2018 to 2022. A 7-year-old was killed after a shooting in Fayetteville, and a 3-year-old has life-threatening injuries after a drive-by shooting outside of a Durham drug store.
