King William paying consulting firm to run finance department

KING WILLIAM — King William County has paid almost $290,000 to a recruitment firm to run its finance office since the start of the year, after a series of resignations from the department. County Administrator Percy Ashcraft said the county has paid the Robert Half company $288,696.84 to cover gaps in the finance department. The county has also budgeted $87,000 in payments to Robert Half next fiscal year. The recruitment firm was taken on in late February or early March, according to Ashcraft.
