Pea-sized hail expected with thunderstorms to hit Tuscaloosa County Sunday

A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:54 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 9:30 p.m. for Tuscaloosa County. Expect pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph. "At 8:54 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm 9 miles southeast of Ashcraft Corner, or 12 miles northeast of Gordo, moving northeast at 20 mph," according to the weather service.
