100 years ago William Wilson, wanted in connection with the shooting of Bonneville County Deputy Neal Simpkins, remained at large this week in 1924. A bulletin had been sent across the Intermountain West. “According to the information received, Wilson shot and killed Simpkins when the latter came to serve a warrant on him on a liquor charge,” the Associated Press reported. “He made his getaway and headed north from Idaho Falls after the shooting.
