Boyfriend of former Nebraska State Patrol employee sentenced for selling drugs stolen from evidence room

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The man accused of selling drugs that his girlfriend pulled from a Nebraska State Patrol evidence room has been sentenced. Senior Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced 38-year-old George Weaver Jr. to 25 years in a federal prison on Wednesday. Weaver Jr. will undergo eight years of supervised release once he’s out. Weaver Jr. faced three charges but pled down to just one count. He was convicted for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana.
