Kuna school district prepares for $2.5 million cut after failed levy

The Kuna School District proposed a $5.3 million dollar levy this past election. They said the funds were needed for operations, facility maintenance, and staffing. After the levy failed, the school district is going over their budget, as they need to reduce expenses by $7.5 million over the next two years. Kuna School District spokesperson Allison Westfall, said they didn't end up in this position because of overspending, but because they have been receiving soft funds, that aren't ongoing.
