CHINA (WKRC) - Diabetes is a presently incurable illness, but a new breakthrough regarding an experimental cure could be a promising next step. Diabetes, a disease classified by the body's failure to create or effectively utilize insulin, is a highly researched illness. A recent breakthrough comes from Shanghai, China, where researchers claim to have cured type 2 diabetes in a 59-year-old patient by reprogramming his blood's own stem cells into insulin producing pancreatic cells.
