Westfield American Legion awards scholarships to 5 at Memorial Day event

WESTFIELD — At the end of the city’s Memorial Day program on May 27, American Legion Post 124 Past Commander Eugene Theroux announced that five Westfield residents had been awarded college scholarships by Post 124. The Thomas J. Abernethy Memorial Scholarship of $500 was awarded to Ryan Borthwick, who attends Norwich University, where he is studying cybersecurity.
