NY weather update: Thunderstorms with penny-sized hail to hit New York Monday

An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 10:20 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 11 p.m. for Oneida, Onondaga, Madison and Cortland counties. Expect penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 50 mph. "At 10:19 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Taberg to near Verona Beach to Cazenovia to Truxton. Movement was east at 30 mph," says the weather service.
