Uvalde Families Sue Daniel Defense, Meta, 'Call of Duty' Maker

Families of students killed in the May 24, 2022, Uvalde school shooting filed numerous wrongful death lawsuits Friday in Texas and California, targeting AR-15 maker Daniel Defense, Meta Platforms, and Activision — the maker of the “Call of Duty” video game. Meta is the parent company of Instagram. CBS News reported that the “lawsuits were filed by attorney Josh Koskoff.” Koskoff is the attorney who successfully sued Remington after a stolen rifle, manufactured by the Remington family of firearms, was used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack.
