IRS issues tax deadline warning for 7 states

The Internal Revenue Service has issued a tax reminder for residents of seven states that have been affected by disaster declarations. The IRS extended tax deadlines for counties across several states after the Federal Emergency Management Agency declared them disaster areas. Disaster areas are designated following a significant incident, natural or human-made, such as severe weather events, fires and terrorist attacks. The usual tax-filing deadline fell on April 15 for 2023 tax returns. But because of FEMA's declarations, an extended filing deadline of June 17 was applied to 35 counties...
