2 hospitalized after garbage truck runs stop sign in Fairfield

Two men were hospitalized after a garbage truck collided with a pickup truck in Fairfield on Thursday afternoon. Police and emergency workers were called to the intersection of Norridgewock Road and Center Road for a rollover at about 3 p.m., Fairfield Police Chief Thomas Gould said in a news release. At the scene, police learned that Timothy Bailey, 38, of Knox, had been driving west on Center Road in a 2007 International garbage truck owned by Bolster’s Rubbish Removal of Burnam when he ran a stop sign at the intersection...
