Appellate court denies appeal of man who killed NOPD officer in 2017

A Louisiana appeals court has affirmed the conviction of a man who killed a New Orleans police officer in 2017. Judges Terri Love, Tiffany Gautier Chase and Nakisha Ervin-Knott with the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal denied Darren Bridges' appeal Friday. Attorneys for Bridges argued the state hadn't proven a first-degree murder case against him during his 2022 trial.
