Parents have to update kids' access at New Orleans Public Library to comply with new law

To comply with a new state law for Louisiana libraries, the New Orleans Public Library is requiring parents and guardians to visit a local branch and update the permissions on their child’s library cards. Parents have until May 30 to select the content their child is allowed to check out of the library before they lose access to digital materials, which include e-books, e-audiobooks, music and video, NOPL officials announced Monday.
