Late trains in Michigan: Nearly 50% of riders were delivered late at worst station

One in three Michigan train passengers were delivered to their destination late in 2023. Of the more than 365,000 passengers who took an Amtrak train through Michigan, nearly 34% arrived later than their scheduled time, according to national Amtrak data. The average delay was 52 minutes. The highest rate of late arrivals out of Michigan’s 22 train stations belonged to the Ann Arbor station, which sits on the Wolverine route that runs between Chicago and Pontiac.
