Beautiful weather and a diverse roster of artists — from authors to rockers, professors to P-Funk — drew crowds of thousands to the three-day Word of South festival, sprawled across 10 stages at Cascades Park over the weekend. The Flaming Lips concert was sold-out and filled Adderley Amphitheater to overflowing with a jubilant crowd on Friday.
