Police: 911 service down in Las Vegas area for landline users

Metro Police’s 911 dispatchers are unable to be reached through landlines this evening, the department posted on X. Dialing from a mobile device will allow police to see the number and call back, they said. However, landline phones will not be able to reach authorities, police said. Las Vegas residents are also able to text their emergencies and location to 911 on mobile devices, they said.
