2nd Earthquake Shakes Somerset County

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A second smaller earthquake, or aftershock, was reported in the Somerset County area on Friday.

At 12 p.m., a magnitude 2.0 earthquake was detected with the epicenter identified 7 kilometers west of Bedminster, according to the United States Geological Survey, which monitors earthquakes.

This earthquake followed the 4.8 magnitude earthquake detected with an epicenter seven kilometers northeast of Whitehouse Station (Readington) around 10:20 a.m. on Friday.
