SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO/WNCN) — Following the tragic killing of Raleigh theater director and Army veteran Emily Steinhoff, she is also being remembered in South Dakota where she served as a public defender and a “big voice” for those in need. Steinhoff, 44, of Garner was shot and killed on March 17. Police say Steinhoff was shot by the father of her sister’s 14-month-old child.
