School threats deemed "insignificant" by Niles Police Department

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- For two consecutive school days, Ballard Elementary School was on lock down due to a potential threat. There were two other schools named in today's lockdown, both Niles High School and Eastside Connections. Niles police have determined that the latest concern came from an email. It contained threats of violence to several school buildings and members of the police department. Police did a full security sweep and found the email came from Nigeria.
