Shooting suspect sought in Chapel Hill after one victim injured, hospitalized

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — A person was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting took place near a gas station in Chapel Hill Thursday night. The shooting took place at approximately 10:22 p.m. at 1860 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. This is the location of an Exxon gas station and Cruizers convenience store. The victim of the shooting was immediately transported to UNC Hospitals for treatment, Chapel Hill police said in a statement. At this time, police do not have a suspect identified.
