Urban development uncovering, disrupting ancient Tennessee Native American graves

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — In January, state archeologists were called to a private property in Franklin after human remains were discovered below the ground. The discovery wasn’t of a “criminal or forensic matter,” a spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conversation (TDEC) said.
