Alabama legislation protects IVF care, does not change embryo classification

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Alabama legislators, on both sides of the aisle, are protecting family’s access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. New legislation in the Alabama House and Senate provides criminal and civil immunity to anyone offering IVF treatments in the state, but the bills do not change how the state classifies embryos.
