Rust removed from Indiana's Republican U.S. Senate ballot

The name of John Rust will not appear on Indiana's May 7 Republican primary election ballot for U.S. Senate. The bipartisan Indiana Election Commission unanimously agreed Tuesday Rust did not qualify to affiliate with the Republican Party because he neither voted in two consecutive GOP primaries, nor obtained a letter from his county party leader attesting to his party membership.
