4.9 Magnitude earthquake recorded near Smith’s Ferry Monday morning

SMITH’S FERRY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A magnitude 4.9 earthquake Monday morning was reported northwest of Smiths Ferry, Idaho, the tremblor happened at 10:25 am MST. According to the Idaho Statesman, Idahoans felt the impact in Boise and around the Treasure Valley. The USGS reports that this is the largest earthquake in Idaho since a magnitude 6.5 quake in March 2020.
