Richmond man who pleaded guilty to mail theft scheme had 83 stolen checks, $59k in cash when arrested

A Richmond man who on Friday pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud used personal and financial information stolen from U.S. Postal Service mailboxes, authorities said. Olden Ellerbee III, 24, conspired with others to steal U.S. mail, sometimes using stolen or misappropriated "arrow keys," which unlock blue Postal Service collection boxes.
