Coyote Who Attacked 2 Men In Johnston, Scituate Had Rabies: RIDOH

DEM officials said a coyote attacked a man Thursday, who was walking his down on Peeptoad Road in Scituate. The next day, a coyote bit a man's leg near Bellfield Drive in Johnston. DEM and Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) officials believe the same coyote was responsible for both attacks. DEM Environmental Police brought the coyote's carcass in for testing, and according to RIDOH lab tests, the coyote tested positive for rabies.
