6.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Hawaii’s Big Island

HONOLULU (KHNL/KGMB/Gray News) - A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck just off of Hawaii’s Big Island Friday morning, producing strong shaking across the state. No tsunami is expected, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake was located 3 miles from Naalehu, just off the Kau Coast. It was reportedly at a depth of 6 miles.
