New Jersey residents who filed a lawsuit over their refusal to wear face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic are looking to appeal their case after a federal appeals court ruled against them. The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday ruled that refusing to wear the masks during a health emergency is not protected speech under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.
