A subcommittee will consider Governor Reynolds' House Bill 649 during a hearing in Des Moines on Tuesday. This new bill would specifically define the terms "sex," "man," and "woman," in state law, changing how public health data would be collected and how birth certificates and drivers' licenses are issued.
