N.J. school district closed Monday due to cybersecurity issue

Freehold Township schools will be closed Monday due to a “cybersecurity event,” a school official said late Sunday. Dianne Martello Brethauer, the district’s assistant superintendent, announced the closure on her X (formerly Twitter) account at 9:40 p.m. Sunday. “The Freehold Township Schools will be closed on Monday, 1/29/24 due to technical difficulties related to a cybersecurity event. We apologize for the inconvenience,” she wrote. No further details about the cybersecurity issue were provided.
