MIAMI.- The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decided to authorize Florida to import drugs at much cheaper prices from Canada, after several years of demands from the Ron DeSantis government. The approval, published by The New York Times, constitutes a change in tactics by President Joe Biden’s administration, aimed at controlling high drug prices and is the result of pressure exerted by Florida, which in August 2022 sued the FDA for delaying such approval for more than two years.
