TGI Friday's abruptly closes 7 N.J. restaurants

TGI Fridays abruptly closed 36 locations across the U.S., including seven locations in New Jersey. The chain announced in a release that they closed these locations because they were “underperforming” and it was one aspect of their “ongoing growth strategy.” Before the closures, TGI Fridays operated about 270 locations in the U.S. Eighty percent of impacted employees were offered jobs at other locations.
