Georgia Sees Low Turnout For Work Requirement Medicaid Signups

Georgia's new Medicaid program, which required applicants to work to be eligible for health benefits, saw a significantly low turnout in its first year. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp expected to see 31,000 Georgians sign up since July, when the program started.
