Expect pea-sized hail with thunderstorms to hit Limestone and Madison counties Saturday

The National Weather Service issued a report at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 9:15 p.m. for Limestone and Madison counties. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are expected. "At 8:30 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Fayetteville to near Harvest. Movement was northeast at 30 mph," states the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible."
