A day after a Travis County judge issued a temporary restraining order on the state's abortion ban and authorized a woman with a fatal fetal diagnosis to terminate her pregnancy, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Friday filed a petition seeking to block the ruling. Paxton filed a petition for a writ of mandamus, which, if granted by a higher court, would block the judge's temporary restraining order.
