A Texas judge granted a woman’s request to receive an abortion, despite Texas’ ban on the procedure, because of a medical complication that virtually guaranteed the fetus will not survive to birth or long afterward, ABC News reported—the first publicized instance of someone successfully suing for an emergency abortion since Roe v.
