Portland teachers ratify contract with nearly 95% approval

Members of the Portland Association of Teachers have ratified the tentative agreement with Portland Public Schools. According to the union, teachers approved the contract Tuesday with overwhelming support. “After 15 days on strike, we’re excited to announce that our tentative agreement has been ratified. With 93.4% of members voting, 94.7% voted to ratify the tentative agreement!” the union said in an Instagram post.
